Throwing pottery successfully requires a spiritual centering and can catch me out every time. I’ve been working on traditional Japanese bowl shapes and am having the most fun letting the Glaze Gods determine how my pieces “land.” It’s also wonderful to gift pieces into friends’ homes where they will be fit to purpose.
