Born and raised in San Diego, Aaron spent nearly 20 years growing up in the vibrant Chicano Park area, where the murals and the surrounding culture had a lasting influence on his creative journey. Drawing inspiration from the neighborhood’s rich history, as well as skateboarding, rap and rock music, graffiti, and design, Aaron’s work has always been shaped by his environment. His process incorporates a range of repurposed construction materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill. By layering these elements, he creates rich textures, all unified in a restrained, minimal color palette. Each design originated as a vision that emerged during meditation, a dream, or an extended sketching session.
